Pioneer Baseball League (also recognized as Pioneer, Pioneer Baseball Softball League, Pioneer Baseball, PBL, PBSL, or PBLVA) was founded in 1952 by local business owners with the idea to make baseball open for all kids regardless of gender and economic status. Pioneer Baseball is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of all volunteers, dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to make Pioneer one of the cornerstone organizations in the greater Alexandria community for over 70 years.
