The Pioneer Legends is a travel baseball program designed to offer our families an opportunity to serve as ambassadors for our league and community, and to provide a place to play highly competitive baseball and make lasting memories, all at a great value. Our Pioneer Legends are far more than just great baseball players. They are active participants in service to our community, whether it be preparing meals for those less fortunate or representing our local police department in a tournament designed to recognize the service and sacrifice of men and women in uniform. Legends are family and community first before baseball.

Our Legends teams range in age from 2nd grade through sophomore in high school. Typically, the 8U through 12U teams are led by league volunteer coaches and compete against other Cal Ripken teams under the Babe Ruth baseball umbrella. Teams compete at the district, state, and national levels. Beginning at 13U, players move to teams led by paid coaches who have former professional and/or collegiate baseball experience. All Legends teams receive specialized instruction for pitching, batting, and position play from professionally-trained coaches.

Who Is Eligible?

Each Legends team holds their own tryout to form their final team for the season/year. Any player within the age group is eligible to attend the tryout. Head coaches/managers, along with their assistant coaches will determine the final roster.

Commitment

As opposed to House Ball Division, Pioneer Legends program requires a bigger commitment in time and money. The Legends teams play competitively in the spring, summer, and fall. In addition, Legends players must play House Ball in the Spring, and participate in winter workouts.
