Frequently Asked Questions

Pioneer Day is an opportunity for everyone in the Pioneer Baseball community – players, coaches, commissioners, board members and families – to come together to celebrate the end of a successful spring season! The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. and continues all day long with divisional championship games, a closing ceremony with a parade of teams, an incredible silent auction, player competitions and activities for kids of all ages, music, food, an adult softball game, and more!

No, you do not need to RSVP but there will be a parade of teams at the ceremony at 1:00pm, so show up and make sure your team is well represented! Having said that, if your player is in teeball, coach pitch or on a Rookies, Minors or Majors team playing a Championship game, be sure to RSVP to your game via GameChanger as usual.

We’re not going to sugar coat it: Parking will be very limited. We encourage families to drive together if possible. If the lot is full, you can find street parking along Franconia Rd. Please be respectful of nearby neighborhoods when choosing your parking location.

All T-ball and Coach Pitch teams will play a game, and Rookies, Minors, and Majors divisionswill play their championship games. Anyone playing on Pioneer Day should let their coaches know if they are not going to be at their game.

Yes! Pioneer Day is about celebrating the WHOLE of our community (that means you) and features plenty of player competitions, family activities, a coach dunk tank, and much more. Plus our 1pm Closing Ceremony is meant to feature everyone.

Absolutely! Our concession stand will be stocked with burgers, hot dogs, and pizza, plus candy and snacks. We will also be selling water, soda, Gatorade, and coffee drinks for the grown-ups. Kona Ice will also be on site, and part of the proceeds will be donated back to the league.

Players not competing in games should still wear their jerseys and hats. Otherwise, those playing in a game should wear their full uniform.

You and your family can enjoy the festivities throughout the day. Coordinate with your coach about warmups if your team is scheduled to play that day. Players will begin lining up for the parade of teams at 12:45 pm at their coaches designated spot along the 3rd base/outfield fence, inside the field. If you have a T-ball player or a Coach Pitch player, please make sure your child’s coach is there before leaving them on the field. For teams without a coach present, we will have an adult walk with them for the parade.

Seating is limited, so we encourage you to bring chairs or blankets. Additionally, you may want to bring your own canopy/tent, as shaded areas are limited.
