Being a volunteer-run nonprofit league means always recruiting people from the sidelines to become a more integral part of Pioneer. Without the help and time of our coaches, team parents, board members, and volunteers, Pioneer cannot continue to expand our program and offer the high-level sports instruction you have come to expect.
Whether it is your time, expertise, or a financial donation, your participation will influence our league and the children that play here. Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them! Volunteers are grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, retirees, community leaders, former Pioneer players, friends, neighbors, and more. Any community member who wishes to become a volunteer may apply.
All parents of children involved in Pioneer Baseball are strongly encouraged to volunteer.
As a parent volunteer, you can spend quality time
with your child
in a safe, fun-filled environment.
Please note that all volunteers must read our
Child Safety & Abuse Awareness Act.
As a coach or manager of your team, you will be mentoring impressionable young athletes and bringing them together in a fun and safe environment. Being a coach or manager requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game. Even if you have little to no knowledge of baseball, the league appreciates your commitment and willingness and we’re happy to have you! We can provide resources that can assist in your preparation to coach – don’t hesitate to reach out to your Commissioners.
Sign up as an assistant coach for your child’s team or one of our travel teams. Previous experience or coaching is not required, although preferred. To volunteer, connect with your coach once your child’s on a team.
Teams can’t run smoothly without a Team Parent volunteering to handle all the off-field activities! A Team Parent plays a vital role for your player’s team. You assist the Coach with the following:
Pioneer Baseball League is comprised of an executive board, an outreach committee, and league commissioners.
