The Legends 9U team is part of the Pioneer Baseball League’s travel program, offering players the chance to compete at a higher level while representing their community. Players who are 9 years old or younger as of April 30, 2025, are eligible to participate in tryouts. The Legends teams, including 9U, compete in local and national tournaments under the Cal Ripken Babe Ruth Baseball umbrella. The program focuses not just on athletic skill development but also on fostering leadership and community service, making the Legends more than just great baseball players.
The 2023-2024 Legends 8U team saw half of its players advance to the 9U division while the other half remained in 8U, continuing to build on the team’s previous accomplishments. These achievements are credited to the collective effort of these young athletes, many of whom were part of the team that grew together in the previous season, developing both their baseball skills and teamwork. This team consisted of Alek, Jackson, Lincoln, Logan, Lucas, Luke, Oliver, Phoenix, Pierson, Ryder, Sullivan & Turner.
